This book is about a house cat named Rusty who has dreams about being wild and roaming the forest in search of prey. One night he enters the forest and tries catching a mouse but is then attacked by a forest cat named Graypaw. They fight but no one is hurt. Then Bluestar and Lionheart find them. At first Bluestar is angry but when Rusty suddenly understands about the prey shortage an oppotunity arises. Rusty takes it and joins the clan as Firepaw. Only when the time is right he finds out about the prophecy: only fire can save our clan.I liked this book. Very good descriptions and a mystery to think along with.
