I thought that Holes by Louis Sachar is a very descriptive book with complete thoughts. I liked how many different plots, past and present were drawn together throughout the story. Every topic seemed to be linked together. I thought the writing itself was very good, and the descriptions of characters very believable. What made this story stand out from others was its use of character reactions. One thing I was surprised, however that certain characters got over their hate quickly when it seemed they should have been angry for longer.4 Stars
