The Goose Girl, by Shannon Hale

The Goose Girl is a very good book. Shannon Hale has taken

Grimms' original fairy tale and polished it anew. It is very well

written and full of adventure and suspense. There are evil

ladies-in-waiting and heartless queens, along with kind, forest-

born friends who help the main character through tough times.

The main character, Anidori-Kiladra, was born in an imanginary

land called Kilendree. She is betrothed to the Prince of Bayern,

Kilendree's neighboring land. This is the story of her journey. It

is full of suspense, cherished friendship, love, betrayal, and

much, much more! I strongly recommend this book to readers of

all ages. It is a timeless classic to be read over and over again. It

is also a great classroom book and can easily be discussed by

peers. Hale's Goose Girl is an excellent read and I strongly

recommend it.

5 Stars,

Suni
