A very good sequel to The Alchemyst, The Magician displays some of the same qualities, such as: Sophie's and Josh's relationship, Scatty's ninja like skills and the bad guy's crazy power. This plot has excitement, explosions and jealousy in pretty much a standard fight between good and evil. I really enjoyed the twist of the plot and Joan of Arc's entrance was played well. Overall, a great book. I would recommend it to any of my friends.4 Stars
