This book is about a girl named Ruby whose mother died of illness. She goes to visit her rich father who provides her with anything she wants but she dislikes him because she thinks he is the cause for her mother's death. Her father, Ray, is a star in Hollywood and lives next to Cameron Diaz. Ruby enjoys this but she misses her best friend Lizzy and her mom so she writes emails to her and her dead mom hoping it will reach heaven. She gets a boyfriend and almost loses her virginity. You have to read the rest of the book to find out why her dad divorced her mom. If I tell you that, I will give away the whole point of this book.
