The Big Field by Mike Lupica

The Big Field was a very well written book about a boy who plays short-stop. His dad was also a shortstop but he never made it to the Major Leagues. He is forced to play second base and takes it well. He also gets voted as the team captain and is one of the best players. But one of his teammates who took shortstop doesn't seem to like him and they don't get along.

It was a very good story. I recommend it to sport fans. It has rivalry and the players are very competitive. It holds lots of surprises and is a very great novel.

4 Stars
