Greg Heffley gets a journal from his mom ("a JOURNAL, not a diary") and records a middle school year's worth of crazy kid schemes, brushes with bullies, bad units in gym class, bids for student government, school play humiliation, and more. He has to worry about his image and reputation. Being a kid can really stink. And no one knows this better than Greg Heffley, who finds himself thrust into middle school always with kids who are taller and meaner. I love this book because it has laugh-out-loud stories with lessons. Whenever I'm in a bad mood, I read the series.
